    Compact & Powerful

    Compact and easy to use. Good reception and sound. Added re-chargeable batteries (from Aldi) for a few dollars so the radio can keep me company when 240v is not readily available. Very happy with this product.

    Not as powerful as expected

    I bought this radio to get a greater range of stations than was possible on my previous portable. However I still get mainly the local stations and ABC.On the A.M. band the reception has background "hiss" on stations that are clearer on the F.M. band( some of our local stations are on both bands). and although faint it detracts from the quality of reception.

    A useful "Trannie".

    Useful battery-charging feature for full mobility; but the on/off button is right where you normally pick it up, meaning if "on" - it switches off - [most frustrating] - then finger-prints etc on the display are inevitable. Easy pre-sets, conical volume control too easy to move by mistake. Good quality speaker, solid construction, no problems so far.

    Outstanding reception Battery backup is a bonus

    Excellent AM reception (for a remote rural area) and the battery backup is great, as our mains power goes off on a regular basis. I can find a place on the floor where there is no static noise - unlike all other radios that I have tried (including other Sangean models). This is the best by far!
