The black string you see in the listing images is a kind of poly twine not a natural twine and that makes it ideal to resist going bad if it gets wet. It's a very nice item we are very happy with it . . . Good seller who used trackable shipping and packaged very well with tape that said "fragile", much appreciated, thanks!
