Maps out the house quickly and then you can assign rooms, zones to clean or leave it on auto. Auto adjusts vacuum strength based on floor type. Does not sense low lying items such as cables or smaller kids toys so these need to be packed away first. Does a reasonable job first time of cleaning but I can see this being a great tool with repeated regular cleans to stay on top of things. Auto hair cutting and dust empty a bonus
