    It works, but goprop could of made a simpler solution...

    Such a large microphone adapter for what could easily have been just a simple single lead, Yes it does work and enables external powered or standard microphones and is cheaper than the media mod but you still need to purchase an aftermarket cage to secure the adapter as it is too large to just dangle...

    Nice size and the cord is almost the right length. another 10mm or so would allow it to be used on any side of the camera

    Expensive and awkward

    As most gopro products its good quality and feels solid but its a big unit to place and to pay another 150$ on top of my 500$ camera and then buy a microphone to plug in it, its a bit much,especially since earlier models came with a built in plug for that

    Enables power as well as mike connection. The cable is quite stiff, so if you bend it like when you're using a housing, the plug moves in its socket. This does not seem to cause any problems and the adapter works well.
