    Those clever Germans

    Ink may be ink, but the bottle it comes in is something else and this one deserves an award. The design has been carefully thought-through so that filling my pen is now a no-mess proposition. I do have a Lamy fountain pen and that may have something to do with the result, but the bottle is shaped so that the nib goes into a little reservoir at the base of the bottle, which means that, as you use the ink up, the ink level remains his enough to fill a pen for longer than it would with a flat bottom. And, this is genius, wrapped around the central reservoir is a roll of blotting paper, exactly the width you need to wipe the part of the pen that's got ink on it. No more inky-hands!
