    Bought a pair of milling vises, set up one and milled a plate. Found some jaw lift which caused the plate to lift slightly, but that was only before the edge was milled so I put it down to non parallelism of the edges. More machining to be done to prove the item, but I’m confident it will be ok.

    Bent leadscrew, no bearing, covered in cast iron dust. Required additional machining to meet accuracy specs. Describing this as a precision vice is absurd.
