    This was a good deal but I didn't know it is only ground on one side. Old ones (costing more) are ground or forged on both sides. It makes them easier to control & guide when splitting or riving. This was just $30, so I'll try to grind it. I prolly wouldn't have bought it if I knew it wasn't ground right. I looked the pics, there's only 1 that shows the flat side. It is not clear it is flat. But I'm handy, I'll try to grind it.

    Much more heavy duty and sturdy than pictures related. Blade is a quarter in thick (I think). Handle is synthetic I believe, but I don't think I would ever break. Came quickly. Would super recommend.

    A solid tool.

    This froe is very solid. I have looked around for a froe, but I often encountered reviews indicating that the blade seemed to be a recycled lawnmower blade. This froe is certainly no recycled mower blade. I purchased this to remove bark from logs that I want to use for various projects in my wood shop. I recommend this froe without reservation.

    It is junk

    The metal is inferior and it attaches to the handle (which you must do yourself) instead of by way of wedge which is more secure considering how the tool is used. The current set up wont last. Its really junk
