I saw a show while visiting the UK and thought I would really love to make that recipe and tried to remember it BUT... and then I saw the show here a year later and found out it was from that book and told my husband nicely that I would like it, sounded great. I love old style recipes and I collect old recipe books but still use them and this sounded as if it has the best of both worlds-old and new and it has. Jamie has an enthusiasm that no one else seems to have and I think is doing good with it. You take the school dinner program and the resteraunts and the better cooking for the people to eat better. Its a great looking book, bright and very readable. Even looks great on a coffee table. yep, I love it. Its even enjoyable just to read and I do.
The quality is amazing! The photos of both food & people are great. Gives you a bit of an insight into the background of the food & the people that make the amazing dishes. There are recipes for both amateur & experienced. I suggest putting aside some you time & really take your time reading the recipes, you may surprise yourself & cook something way out of your usual meal plans. If you have watched the tv show, when you read you can almost envision the episode & hear Jamie talking you through the recipe. Highly recommend this book!
