Before I purchased the Braun heads I tried the cheap replacements - big mistake - they were lucky to last a week. The brushes wouldn't oscillate when they made contact with the tooth, I reckon this was due to rapid wear of inferior mechanical parts in the drive train of the toothbrush heads. I've gone back to the genuine Braun heads and they work as they should.
