Never having played the previous Spider-Man I had no expectation going into this. But boy did this do it for me. Good graphics, amazing gameplay, and a compelling grind mechanic. The game rewards you to do the side missions as it unlocks a good chunk of the suits and gadgets. There are some tedious parts (research tokens) but it’s only dropping the game score from 10/10 to 9.5/10.

The game is of course as good as you've heard but this is more of a warning. The game requires that you install the whole thing from the disk, this means that it often doesn't install at all. So some steps to fix this are, 1. Make sure you stop the update that it tries to download at the same time before it starts, 2. turn your ps4 on it's side, i know this seems ridiculous but over the years it's been the fix for many a disk read error on many a console. so again, disconnect your ps4 from the internet before you put the disk in, turn the playstation on it's side, install the game, turn the internet on, download the patch, and you should be golden. though if that doesn't work don't blame me, that's just what got the game installed on my ps4..on the 3rd try.

This game is absolutely amazing! The story is very well done, and you can really tell the creators were very passionate about making this game and big fans of the franchise. The graphics are really good too. I was worried that render distance would be pretty bad, like as you were swinging through the city the cars and people would disappear but that isn't the case. Very fun game overall. I just finished the game and decided to start a new game straight after I finished it. Just wish you could do another playthrough without losing all your suits and upgrades, that would have been great if they made it so you could do that. I absolutely recommend this game!
