Using Blue Planet Snail Rid and following the instructions on the packet only killed a small amount of snails, most survived and the rest have returned. The product is so watered down it is not worth the price. Find a more cost effective alternative.

Firstly, be careful with your dosage, as this product will be harmful to your fish if you overdose. Also, you will need to continue treatment for some time for it to be effective - two individual treatments won`t do the trick! It seems to control the snail population rather than eliminate it - I am treating my third outbreak of snails, without ever adding anything to the tank to re-introduce them, so there were obviously still some left in the tank after each treatment.
