I personally did not believe the hype surrounding these higher priced M-Steel Regular Slinkys, but as a long time devotee of the EB Slinky I had to try them. WOW! They play better, sound better and last longer than my trusty "seasick green" regular slinkys. I don't understand or care about the science behind these "super strings," my hands and ears tell me everything I need to know. No other string will ever touch my main gigging axe. The only complaint besides the price (which is negligible because they do last longer) is that they feel somewhat rougher than the regular slinkys. This is true, but if you actually play your guitar they smooth out quickly and have a more traditional EB feel. Keep practicing.

In researching the strings, they look to be fantastic. Unfortunately I have been very busy with other things, Christmas and whatnot. It will be sometime before I can write a review. Just letting you know how things are right now. Thank you Cliff

This makes the big e string sound good, not twangy, not muddy, not a distorted low sound. It is a brighter sound. It drives the front end of the Marshall and the 5150 hard. It sounds symphonic on the chords. Incredible!

Sounds ok, bright. My issue is I keep breaking the D string. Never had an issue with Ernie Ball Colbalts. Going back to Cobalts. Colbalts are the absolute best.
