This radio is an absolute bargain. Packed full of features and easy to use. l love the Air Band. I live in the middle of a City but with my internal apartment antenna I've put up I'm pulling in transmissions from the airport outside the City with ease. No complaints at all.

A good general purpose radio. The audio quality is "tinny" compared to the Degen 1103 and the Audiot quality on the XHDATA is vastly superior. The AGC pumps on SSB and sounds slightly wobbly and unstable. There is no mention in the manual if the 3.5 external antenna connector is Mono or Stereo. The 3.5mm connector for an external antenna is too unstable and leads to intermittment performance. An external antenna connector should be either a BNC or RCA and certainly never a SMA. When you hang an adapter off it for coax or anything the plug always pops out The sensitivity of this radio is lower than the XHDATA equivalent and worst than the Degen 1103 which has a preamp position. The Degens 1103s big speaker just blows this radio out of the water. The front end seems "hissy" and at night there is evidence of blocking of the front end The user interface is excellent and its simple to use. This radio needs a better S-meter or a meter calibrated in Dbuv with a better dynamic range especially for SSB. The unit needs an RF gain control or an attenuator option to make it a better all round radio. It can overload severely with any external antenna. It would also be nice if they put in a high pass filter for 1.7mhz and above to block the AM broadcast band. At the end of the day for the price versus performance its good value for money, no complaints there. This user interface and DSP technology has got good potential The Airband needs better sensitivity and a preamp/dx position would be nice. A airband bandpass filter would also be nice. Despite all its warts and faults its a good general purpose all round radio for camping, in the shack, barn or while on holiday. Although I rate the XHDATA version a much better radioRead full review

A well made small radio, cheap in cost, compared to several similar radios , I have tried . Does everything that it says on the Box. I was pleased to see that RDS is available on the FM band. , which is not always the case on this type of Radio.
