I've read some good reviews of the amplifier, and when I got tired of fixing the dry joints on my NAD 2200, I decided to try one out. I was not disappointed. Great mid range clarity was what I first noticed. It doesn't quite have the grunt to drive a pair of VAF floorstanders as easily as the NAD did, but because it can be bridged to 150W mono, and is priced very well indeed, I bought a second one. I'll have them driving front Left & Right separately. Should be enough grunt to get some great SPL now!

Not sure why the rave reviews? I bought two of these to use as mono amps for an easy to drive pair of spare speakers. They couldn’t cope at all with being mono bridged. Grainy, lifeless and a distinct lack of bass. I ended up biamping the speakers to keep these in stereo. No better but probably easier on the amp. Auto switch on is slow instead of instant and a full few seconds at least between one switching and the other. Overall a poor design, bad sound and very ordinary construction. Could easily have done better than these but assumed as the Emotivas from a whole back were just fancier looking rebadges they’d be good. They aren’t.
