As mentioned by several other buyers, the bang for the bucks is great. While the knife doesn't look (specially the handle) very fancy, it cuts my home made bread literally like butter. I am not sure why I fiddled around with our old knife for so many years, I should have upgraded that a long time ago. The Victorinox performs absolutely fanatstic and for the around $40 I would think you won't find anything better.
