Makes a complete mess, doesn't mix properly because it forces bowl contents up the sides
This is my worst buy. I've found that it forces the bowl contents up the sides of the bowl, instead of keeping he contents central and well mixed. e.g. I've used the beater blade to cream butter and sugar, and spend more time stopping the mixer to scrape down the sides of the bowl to get the contents back to the centre of the bowl. This is time consuming and makes the bleade pointless - its supposed to do the job of the scraper that I use! I've also used it to mix eggs (4) and sugar ready for a sponge - what a mess. The mix was splattered everywhere - up the sides of the bowl, and over, and it was just as well I have the plastic cover. I was using the large bowl too. In all this is a very poorly designed tool from kitchen aid. It's supposed to scrape down the sides of the bowl, instead it sends the contents up the side. Waste of time - waste of money, and after the last mix with eggs and sugar, I've now gone back to using the standard beater. because it doesn't make a mess, and at least keeps the contents in and around the centre of the bowl - not up the sides. If you own a KitchenAid mixer then this is a must have item. Saves you a whole lot of time and trouble by scraping down the sides of the bowl while it is mixing. What an excellent invention,

Great beater from Kitchenaid
The product does exactly what I expected. It scrapes the bowl as it beats. I just think the these product from Kitchenaid are over priced. However this was the cheapest I could find.
