This set of dvd's is great value and the best way to buy the first 81 episodes of Midsomer Murders. The only thing I would have liked is subtitles - on the discs I have watched so far there are none. It wouldn't have out me off the purchase though because it is such good value.

I wouldn't buy this but a friend did. It's better value than purchasing the series individually. The DVD prints are good quality, but the omission of English subtitles is a HUGE negative. This is the 21st Century, after all, and we're supposed to be inclusive and considerate as a society. I expect to see "subtitles for the deaf and hearing impaired" on every DVD released. I believe it should be mandatory. I've noticed that none of the Midsomer titles, even those released under Madman label, have subtitles. The ITV network should get its act together. I will not purchase any DVD that doesn't at least include English subs.
