It works easily with my WIN 8.1 laptop. You might have to restart your computer after installation. As for quality of images, they are excellent for my simple purposes, but a fussy photo enthusiast might want better - and pay for it. IT DOES NOT WORK WITH WIN 10. The scanner is not at fault, - perhaps the "twain" does not connect - a software issue. In all, quite good value for the price - but not for WIN 10.

The set up was easy the appearance neat instructions clear. The issue was with the actual screen on the display prior to scanning at times it was a green screen with a feint background of the image the scan works fine is fast and easy to use

It is easy to setup, but takes a bit of patience to get the best results. You need to experiment with the light adjustment to get the best resolution. I do some contrast adjustment after scanning. I am pleased with the slides I have scanned.

I have an earlier model which I liked very much, in fact it was superior to many more expensive machines and better than some current similar products. This one is faster and works with windows 10. not sure if the old one works with the new software but this is a great direct to computer scanner and good value for money. A couple of pics from old mono negs. Unlike some scanners that tend to zoom in a little on negs and transparencies this one works right to the edge of the frame.
