I was having problems with poor TV reception , I replaced the aerial with a more modern version with the result being only a slight improvement to the TV picture quality . The new aerial was aimed in the same direction as the old one which was the same as 95% of the TV aerials in the neighborhood . When I checked the signal strength with this tool it was only about 1-2 Bars ( poor ) . Too my surprise the aerial had to be rotated about 135 degrees to get the best signal strength , this resulted in 5-6 bars ( good ) . Had I just assumed that because I had my TV aerial aimed in the same direction as 95% of the others in the neighborhood then I would have never had yet another improvement too my TV picture quality !
