I had a whining noise in my system when I connected the speakers cables to the high input in my amplifiers, but when I installed this unit it completely eliminated the noise and now the sound is clear and I have to say that the quality of this unit is excellent it is a straight connection but the sound is excellent and for just 36 dollars it is good value for money.
