When my Mac Mini's wi-fi failed, I decided to go with a powerline adaptor rather than the more expensive option of getting the Mini repaired (and doing without it during that period). The Netcomm adaptors worked perfectly from the time I first plugged them in (the supplied ethernet cable from my modem to one unit and my own cable from the other unit to the Mini). There is no setting up of any kind, they really are plug and play. I can't comment on the claimed speed because our Internet connection is only 10 Mbps and obviously they handle that with no problem.

The only problem I had was that the ethernet cable supplied was too short to reach from the IQ box to the nearest powerpoint. Luckily I had a spare longer one and could use it.
