The Powertrain 12VAC, 1.0A AC Power Supply is sturdy in construction, and appears to comply to the Australian Requirements. It is able to be used by just plugging it into a 240Volt Power Outlet and it steps down the voltage to 12Volts, Rated to 1 Amp, 50 Hz secondary supply. No tools were needed, so just plugged it in to get the appliance working - replacing a faulty Power Supply. The Unit has a long body and with the 240 Volt Plug Pins moulded in, it wouldn't be able to used in a Power Outlet that is mounted on a Skirting Board, close to the floor. My application had over 100mm clearance, so that is not an issue.
