Better than the alternatives
The controller is very sturdy and the material quality is good. The buttons have a good feel and response. The unit is quite heavy for its size but is probably due to the quality of the materials used. The unit appears to be larger than is required and adds to the weight of the keys you might be carrying around. The unit came with battery installed and ready for use. The included instructions was clear and easy to follow. Setup to add this controller to my door was easy and took less than 5 mins.

No choice buy
It’s good quality but the price is too high. Other Merlin models and other brands are so much cheaper. I will check on prices of replacement remote controls before I replace my other roller shutter doors.

This is a great garage door opener. I have two Merlin mr800 on one double door shed, and two merlin weather drives on the other double shed. This little beauty means I only have one remote to operate ALL of them. Simple thing that saves me frustration of what remote I out where..... Highly recommend this device

Good remote
The programming of it is a little annoying if you have multiple doors. Not super hard but a bit of ok it works with this now but not this other remote that it use to work on then reprogram that. You'll get there but make sure you check all the remotes you use so you know you're done. Oh an the instructions told me to click twice to program but click once is actually what worked.
