My wife and i have used this brand of peeler for approximately 20 years after trying a few others and we would never consider purchasing any other type. The Victorinox Rex Peeler we find very easy to use and works great. (We are in our 70's )

I owned a Victorinox stainless steel peeler for the last 8 years and it broke recently due to the blade popping out. I purchased this peeler as a replacement and was surprised at the poor quality. I'm not sure if this product is not get genuine or Victorinox have changed their manufacturing. The main body of the peeler tarnished in hot water (aluminium?) and the blade has rusted all in one month from new.

These are not stainless steel. As they CAN NOT go in the dishwasher. Stainless steel is fine in the dishwasher, These were washed in the dishwasher and they have now all reacted / changed colour. Looks like aluminium to me. They also don't peel very well. i purchased 2 and one peels better than they other, but still not anywhere near as good as the one i previously have for 15 + years.
