After reading some good online reviews I put this product side by side with an SM58 and it performed just as well and was a bit brighter which was a welcome surprise. Signal-wise it is a bit hotter than the 58 and the only downside is its average feedback rejection and handling noise. As long as you do the usual tricks to reduce feedback you can run this mic in most live settings. This is now my "spare mic of choice" and if the singer turns-up to the gig without his mic again, I'll happily give him this one.

I just wanted another mic for our drummer in the rehearsal room......he sometimes sings in chorus if everyone is...I was so pleased with the quality of this mic I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good budget mic. It is rather heavy so best for on stand use.

An excellent entry-level microphone. It is no light weight and compares with sounds from mics which may be twice the price. The case it comes in is a bonus, but the mic is so rugged that it probably doesn't need one. Ideal for my small home studio to record audio vocal - no, not singing, although I guess it would handle the musical spectrum as well.

The microphone is precisely what I need for my work as a singer, concert performer and now an Independent movie director. I will be ordering another two unit a bit later for my guest performers in my internet weekly TV Show in South Australia. TWO THUMBS UP FOR ME!!! Dale Adriatico
