That means they only work with a Cisco phone system and not third-party VoIP Service provider. To get them to work with 3rd party SIP you need to purchase a Cisco license $70 for each phone then update firmware. I should have researched more before purchasing and vendor could have added this info. Would not have purchased if I knew the extra costs involved.
