For some reason the mounting ring on these ones is ever so slightly (hard to even see) larger than the old ones and no matter how hard I tried, even with a small dab of lithium grease on the gasket, they would not fit into the headlight housing. I was at wits end and ready to send angry email about it but I ended up just removing the mounting ring from the old ones and swapping it on the new ones.
