Massage is a vibration mechanism with one setting, beware, there was no misleading, I just didnt read properly (my bad). It was super easy to set up, almost enjoyable really, seeing everything fit into place, and that first sit down was magical, the armrests are smartly built, they adjust as you recline, which I though was soo cool idk why. Overall, its a good budget office chair.
