Handsome swordsman Lancelot (Richard Gere) is incredibly skilled at fighting, but when he meets the lovely Guinevere (Julia Ormond), he can't seem to get past her defenses.     Hasn't aged well.

    Unfortunately, FIRST KNIGHT hasn't aged well. It remains a sappy, limp affair with an otherwise talented cast, but with corny direction, a cliched script, uninspired production design and a predictable plot. I was hoping it would carry nostalgic value, but its as forgettable as it was in the 90s.
