Forensic scientist, detective and expert witness - his conclusions had to satisfy judges and juries, and he often held a suspect's fate in his hands. In this book Dr Hocking describes some of the bizarre, tragic and sometimes inexplicable cases he encountered, and looks at horrific areas of human depravity, such as the Giffard case of a son who killed his parents and threw their bodies over a cliff in a wheelbarrow.
