    Better than I was expecting

    I bought this to replace my dodgy onboard sound but considering how cheap it is I wasn’t expecting much. My mic quality is perfect now. My only issue is with the sound. With headphones it sounds perfect but with 2.1 speakers it doesn’t sound quite right. But to be fair I have very cheap and old speakers while my headset is new.

    Good sound card replacement

    Yes this is a sound card + amplifier. It was unclear on several sites if this was both. I have used this to fix a Sony Vaio that had an under-rated sound card (or driver issue. I was surprised as it was a media laptop and my IBM media laptop which was older worked better). BTW may be cheaper of Soundblaster website.

    its a basic product for what it is does what it says and for the cost its a good buy. don't expect a full blown sound card.
