It arrived, plugged it all in, day 2 on computer boot - USB errors, reboot. Day 4 nothing works plugged into the hub. Plug in the old hub I was replacing, all worked fine. Trying "contact seller" puts you into a "catch 22" feedback loop that only goes back to the start. This $40.00 piece of c@@p is now in the bin, I have already spent more time on it than it is worth. Adding insult to injury, the price is now $47.00. Stay away from the hub and the seller. Another unhappy Ebay experience.

    Reliable Powered USB 3.0 HUB

Finally, a powered USB 3.0 hub that works reliably with a disparate set of devices. All 7 ports are individually switched saving needless device removal. Early generation USB 3.0 devices can be problematic but such issues easily circumvented by using one of the three dedicated USB 2.0 ports. An excellent hub for expanding any USB port starved laptop.

    USB 3.0 ports very flunky

I bought one of these to upgrade from my basic Belkin 4 port USB 2.0 Hub. I installed it via one of my USB 3.0 ports and then started adding devices to the ports as per type i.e. 3.0 to 3.0, 2.0 to 2.0. It proved to be very flunky. Devices would connect then disappear, stop talking to each other (and never worked 3.0 speeds) or otherwise stop working haphazardly. I also found the on/off switches to easy to accidentally turn off when handling the device. I went back to scratch, reconnected my devices, but this time USB 3.0 devices to my computer's own 3.0 ports, and 2.0 devices to the Belkin and mBeat Hub 2.0 ports. Everything worked fine and continues to do so. So it fails pretty much completely as a 3.0 Hub, but works as a 2.0 only hub. Pretty disappointing.

  • Good for USB 3 storage devices - not so good for USB 2 devices

Great for adding multiple USB 3 memory stick/thumb drives. However do NOT expect it to work with a logitech webcam, even on a USB 2 port, nor should you expect Bluetooth or wireless USB devices to work on this hub. I bought this to replace my very ancient D-Link 7 port USB 2 hub and it works fine with my USB 3 storage devices but seems to have very limited backwards compatibility with USB 2 devices.

  • Lightweight abd great features

This Hub has separate on/of switches with 4 USB 3.0 and 3 USB 2.0 ports more than enough for most systems. Can't really fault this product.

  • It actually works!

After purchasing many hubs, some more expensive than this one with less outlets this was my last attempt. Glad I did. Not only does it work as advertised, you can have it thru' your computer or plugged in to mains and the individual on/off switches are a great addition.
