A sequel to Trauma Center, Trauma Center: New Blood is a simulation game that lets players role-play as a surgeon to save lives. In this Nintendo Wii video game, Dr. Markus Vaughn and Valerie Blaylock have healing touch abilities. They perform surgeries at several hospitals in Los Angeles and Alaska as the plot of this story unfolds. Eventually, they discover Stigma, which is a dangerous, man-mad organism. The rest of the story involves helping those with Stigma while attempting to stop its spread. In Trauma Center: New Blood, a two player co-op game allows each player to be one of the characters and work together to perform surgeries. Additionally, this simulation game includes a single player mode with a detailed storyline. Trauma Center: New Blood has three difficulty modes, ranging from easy to hard. The characters also rise in ranking at the end of each operation, starting with rookie doctor and rising to medical prodigy, which can only be achieved through the hard difficulty mode. All cut scenes include fully played out dialogue for a more immersive storyline. This Nintendo Wii video game also features challenge missions where surgery on multiple patients that must be performed in a limited time.

  • Delivers what it promises, unique Wii experience

    This game is a surgery simulation experience, using fictional stories to play out potentially real situations. The player must use the Wii controls to perform tasks like drain blood, sew stitches, make incisions, replace bone fragments and laser off cancer cells. The skills are easy to pick up, but hard to master. There are tutorial levels for each new skill you must learn, which makes it easier to practice before playing the levels you must pass to progress through the game. Fun to play, graphics are good enough, and you can feel a sense of achievement as you progress through each operation. Well written storyline throughout the game to give it purpose, though the characters talk too much sometimes (but you can skip these sections if you wish).
