    SHANE DVD 1953 Western Alan Ladd, Jean Arthur, Van Heflin

    Best classic western. Alan Ladd a retired gunfighter emerges as the hero of a frontier town run by a corrupt cattle baron. Good overcomes evil and the hero rides away in the darkness to other adventures that await him. He is farewelled by a young farmboy who he had befriended earlier on entering his parents farmland at the beginning of the movie.

    Another quite Ladd movie

    Always enjoy movies with Alan Ladd as the star. We have a preference for Westerns and this one was a Western with a difference. Interesting to see how they coped in the West without a lawful authority close by.
