Works well to recharge battery after a long trip away. I like the way it can be wired into the battery for future use. Plug it in and connect to power. The connection is only able to be connected with correct polarity to ensure the battery or electrics won't be damaged. Good product that works as promised. Item delivered faster than expected. Well packaged to protect contents. Very happy with product and seller. Highly recommend.

New item in its original box with all the accessories. These are the best chargers on the market, especially as they can recondition AGM batteries; some other brands lead you to believe they can do the same, until you read their instructions. Postage was included in the price but it's a shame it took 2 1/2 weeks to deliver from NSW to QLD. Still, it was worth the wait.

Lightweight, compact design with all necessary functions and safety features.

Excellent, well known proprietary brand product of which I've long had a smaller version which, apart from being somewhat "underdone" when re-charging my large starting battery for a 4WD and auxiliary battery, plus a marine battery for my small boat (especially at the present time when we are restricted in use of our vehicles, boats, etc. and fully discharged/flat batteries is a constant problem) is an excellent product. Consequently, I had no hesitation purchasing this higher voltage version with additional features when I learnt of its existence and I'm looking forward to having one less concern keeping my batteries charged and in good condition into the future, regardless of being able to use my vehicle and boat far more often, or as may be the case, less often.

  • market leader

It works as advertised - and has definitely preserved my batteries over periods of non-use. It's the market leader along with perhaps Noco. My previous mxs 5.0 has proven reliable over at least 5 yrs or so. That does not mean the unit is perfect however. The direct connection to battery fly lead is only 40cm long, fine for cars, but too short to feed through into a convenient location on many bikes, even the cheap Noco genius 1 has a much longer fly lead that doubles as alligator clips to save money (the eyeleted ends of the direct connect flylead screw into the clips) - perhaps this is the better approach if the manufacturer is going to be mean about a few more cms of fly-lead. At this end of the market however, Ctek should properly provision separate leads of sufficient length. Finally, ...

  • Excellent and trouble free for years

CTEK just make extremely good products, and this is one of them. Five or more years ago i bought a similar device for trickle feeding the small (motorbike type) battery of my aircraft. Easy to use; quick connect terminals; never overheats; foolproof connection. This one connects to my wife’s car which does not do enough mileage to keep the battery charged.

  • Best chargers I’ve owned

Best battery charger for leaving on vehicle long term. I have 5 of these chargers and the first one is approximately 18 years old and still going strong . Other top brand and more expensive chargers have failed . I owned an auto repair shop and earthmoving business . I can highly recommend CTEK chargers

  • A class act

I'm new to deep-cycle batteries, having recently acquired an electric outboard motor for a little punt to ply a nearby river with. I bought an AGM battery for the outboard after discovering these batteries are specifically designed to be repeatedly drained and recharged but I assumed my old cheapie car battery charger would be adequate for recharging duties … So it was just as well I listened to my gut and did more research after seeing the battery was a fully sealed unit, and found out it actually required precision charging within very fine tolerances. It seems the service life of AGM batteries is dependent upon correct recharge amperage and voltage. They also shouldn't be overcharged, which meant my usual 'set and forget' (overnight) battery charging approach would be problematic ...
