    Nikkor 40mm f2.8G macro lens is good value

    I needed a short focal length Nikon G mount macro lens to use with a photodiox adapter on my Fuji X System cameras. The 40mm Nikkor fits the bill and works perfectly with the adapter. It is compact and comes with a lens hood and a good quality fabric bag.

    Well built, light and compact. Would certainly recommend this lens.

    Another quality lens from Nikon. When used for portraiture photography it offers great clarity and nice blurring. I use many different lenses but this one is always one of my favorites especially in and around the city. It is light and compact but well built and robust at a very fair price.

    Tack sharp quality macro lens for flowers.

    If you love taking photos of flowers (and I do) this is a terrific lens, tack sharp.I have even taken insect photos as well but you do have to be very close,100mm macro on cropped sensor (160mm full frame) is a lot easier distancing yourself from insects.One negative with flowers is your shadow can be a hindrance but you choose angle and time of day to overcome this issue (or use flash).I love this lens as an everyday lens as well and is about 64mm lens equivalent on full frame.
