Best Stephen King Movie
When David Soul returns to his small New England town, people begin dropping like flies. Even in the movie you'll notice from the beginning how the streets are quiet. This, to me, was the best movie from a book by Stephen King. It really scared me when I read the novel and then it didn't disappoint me when I saw the movie. The film centers around a suave antiques dealer (James Mason) who's knowledge goes way beyond bric-a-brac. Mason's partner is a vampire (no mention of him being "Dracula")....who wants to drain the whole town of blood before moving on. The spookiest sight is that old house. When the kid, Lance Kerwin, is walking in it by himself I got huge goosebumps! The make-up job on the vampire was enough to give me nightmares. Bonnie Belinda plays Soul's love interest, who ... If you like scary and Stephen King and vampires, you will love this movie
Stephen King's Vampire story. It is scary, made me jump,my mom is 90,made her jump. I loved the movie and I loved the book. Pretty much follows the book scary from the beginning to the end. Even though it is out of print, the older stuff has character.

Hollywood strikes again
This was a good movie. An antique vampire story, with a good plot outline. However, a good deal of the characters in the book were left out of the movie. Hollywood condensed the book quite a bit. The base story is there about a writer who fights evil in a small town he lived in as a child, but the book was so much better.
