    Lonesome Dove: a place in the making

    This one of only few westerns that seems to have as aim to be as authentic as possible. You get to know the characters. The first 8 DVDs cover four prequels to the series which follows the films in the next 8. Rating films is always subjective but we like this Lonesome Dove collection very much.

    It has good multiple story lines, is historically correct re clothing, firearms, props etc., and it extremely well acted with some top stars” like Robert Duvall, Danny Glover, Tommy Lee Jones, Angelica Huston, Rick Schroeder Sissy Spacek, James Garner and in the series, Dennis Weaver. I think of the collection as a whole as an epic.

    my partners favourite of all time movies is lonesome dove. the best christmas present i could of ever bought him, he can watch 100 times and then want to watch it a 100 more times, he says its true to life and wishes he had lived in those days, thankyou very much for these movies and is there any more like them.
