A childhood classic
This is one of my favourite on screen versions of the ‘Journey to the West’ by Wu Cheng'en. Even though it’s dubbed in English it is a fun and engaging story. The film to DVD conversion is not the best at times with the original taped static from time to time popping into the DVD. The characters are well played by the actors and the dubbed voices are hilarious. Though season 1 dubbed voices are much much better than season 2, in with the odd bit of light swearing occurs from time to time. I would easily give this classic a 8/10 as something I will watch it from time to time on a cold winters day and hopefully get my son to learn to love it too.
