    This is the hardcover version of the book. This book covers the artwork on the first 18 manga volumes and the 1st season of the anime series. It reads from back to front, like the Japanese original. The first section covers the process of converting the manga into anime & compares the artwork of each on facing pages while describing the decisions and techniques the animators used to translate the static manga panels to motion. That is followed by sections containing the color art as originally published in Shonen Sunday. Most of the manga was black & white, but there were special color sections periodically which did not get reproduced in the all-monochrome manga reprints.
