Although this filter does a fantastic job (when you finally manage to get it put together right) the difficulty in set up is excruciatingly painful. The baskets only go in 1 way & it doesn't tell you which way. The baskets need to be Perfectly fitted or lid (Pump Head) wont seal. The Pump Head only goes on 1 way & again no indicators to which way. The pump Head leaks if it isn't EXACTLY in the right spot. Trying to lift the Unit out from under a tank is very difficult as it weighs a ton when full of water. Trying to carry the unit outside for cleaning is Dangerous to your toes i.e. No carry handles & if you grip lid clamps they open & you lose grip & drop it on your toes because you are Duck waddling because its SO HEAVY! The sides are very smooth so no grip there. A little better design would of made this a superb Filter. Spending hours trying to clean & refit it is not my idea of a good Filter.Read full review

Canister is extremely quiet considering it's large size . Works effectively and is also equipped with UV bulb for crystal clear water and built with the highest standards . It is however, extremely heavy once it's filled with water and is in operation. Having said that, you can not expect it to be modified with groves or handle bars as suggested by negative reviews for it will collapse by its own weight. For a machine that filters 3000 liters of water per hour ; it's a bargain!
