Very entertaining seeing “Western Civilization” viewed through the eyes of the San People of the Kalahari Dersert, Southern Africa. In the late 1970’s I spent many years prospecting in the Kalahari Desert. During this time I was lucky enough to have some interaction with the extraordinary San in Namibia, Botswana and Southern Africa. Unfortunately away from the Movie screen the interaction between so called civilization and the San has been a disaster for the latter. The Botswana experience has been particularly disastrous and the Botswana Government is soley to blame for it’s terrible treatment of it’s only aboriginals (from the beginning), the beautiful San. This treatment will eventually lead to the extermination of these incredible people. Shame on you Botswana!

The Gods Must Be Crazy DVD
A hillarious comedy set in the bush lands of Botswana. A Kalahari bushman makes it his mission to dispose of an evil coke bottle that has brought conflict to his tribe. The laughs start when he encounters a clumsy South African biologist who is very accident prone. It is good family fun well worth watching.

Very good entertainment
This is of course 2 very dated movies and the first movie is much funnier than the second. Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed watching both. The 2 actors in the first had real charisma and some of the action was hysterical.

These movies are 40 years old and still funny and entertaining..... I bought them to watch with my grandson who took a while to get into it and then couldn't help having a laugh. It was very scenic and a glimpse of the Kalahari Desert and its peoples...
