Our dog is a pure bred Blue Heeler who loves to be active and chase balls, but manages to put her teeth through all the plastic/leather balls. Purchased this for her and she loves it. It is a very hard, thick plastic type ball and seems to be durable.

My dogs are tough and they are afraid to stop it with their mouths so they try to use their legs and you can hear the ball hit their leg bones and it obviously hurts them from the reaction and they don't want to go near it. Any heavier and it would pass for a bowling ball. Very expensive for a bit of plastic, had it for more than a year and tried it twice, now it's in the junk pile. Save your money and buy a hard rubber type. Chuck it brand is great

I bought this ball for my 2yr German Shepherd who will destroy all other balls. Soccers last about 30 seconds before there is a tooth through it and even good quality end up dead. This ball is extremely hard so you have to remember not to throw it as to protect the teeth. It give so much pleasure to our dog who will play with it till she can barely breath.
