I have a vinyl collection that I wanted to preserve and this McLelland Phono Preamp was just what I'd been looking for. Audacity software and good quality cables (phono interconnect & USB) was all I needed to get started. This McLelland Phono Preamp has an excellent DAC. The Input Gain allows for fine tuning of recording volume. The Monitor Level adjustment enables comfortable listening volume. But its the inclusion of a USB out to computer that makes all the difference to this magic little black box. I've found it an ideal solution for my needs.
