This iPhone case makes my the way a smart phone should come as standard. Waterproof, shock proof, screen protected and not slippery. As soon as I installed my 2 week old iPhone in the Lifeproof FRE, I felt confident I could get I out of my pocket without freaking out that it might slip out of my hand, get splashed, knocked, or just scratch the screen. Confidence! The case is also lightweight an slim as well. Everything still works on the iphone as was advertised by Lifeproof. Even the fingerprint scanner to unlock. For the "against" side- the buttons on the sides are harder to use than the feather light touch it used to take to adjust the volume or use the sound mute toggle, but in about 2 days I was used to the feel of the case. I think if you bought to case at the same time you got the phone you would never know the difference. I would recommend the purchase of a wireless charging pad to go with it. Not having to open the locking catch to charge the phone would be better, but this is not a design floor in the case, just something I believe would make the case last even longer.
