I love these strings. They have a beautiful tone, and, with lower tension, are far more playable than standard strings. I was a bit concerned that the lower tension would reduce the richness of the tone, but that isn't the case. I don't know how they square that circle. I don't know, yet, how long they last, but even if their life is relatively short I would still prefer them. May be helpful to add, I use these 11-50 playing fingerstyle on a Furch OM with long scale length. I've found regular 11-52s too hard on my fingers, and regular 10-50s lacking in tone.

I've been using the AC111s for years, mainly because they are easier on the fingers. Lovely mellow sound on my electric/acoustic. Only problem with each set is that the G string tends to wear around the 3rd fret much sooner than any other string. This of course means you have to buy a complete new set to replace one string. I did find a specialty music shop who were able to buy me in 3 G strings. Annoyed with this I tried a set of SITs. The G string broke without warning after only moderate use. At least with the Plectrums you get the warning of the string unwinding not breaking.

If you are a serious player and like a subtle sound and a great feel. These are the strings for you. They go well on my Ovation and my Martin. They will even make the experience more enjoyable on a budget acoustic. Warning they are not long life strings.

Great guitar strings. These are just the best strings you can get. I have recommended them to so many people. I have been using this brand for 30 years and I wouldn't use anything else.
