Sliding Gate Motor
After my gate motor died after 20 years of service, it was time to detach for a new unit. After some research and contemplating buying a no brand unit. I decided to go with the ATA brand as my friend had the same unit and was working flawlessly. I can’t say that installation of the motor was ‘easy’ but definitely doable by someone who is handy. The limit switch was much easier to setup correctly than the previous unit with magnetic reed switch which was temperamental at times. Only complaint I had with installation is that using the factory fitting for the limit switch isn’t really possible unless you have about an extra 20-30cm of geared rail on each end. I unfortunately couldn’t use the factory fitting as I didn’t have adequate space in either end of the gate, so fashions something together out of left over plate steel. The motor runs very quietly, and opens and closes the gate faster than my old unit. The range of the remote is quite impressive (about 15 metres line of sight). All in all pretty impressed with the unit.Read full review

Fantastic motor. Easy to set up, quiet, gentle (slows down before the stop), well built. Extra remotes and other accessories are easily available. ATA phone support is prompt as well.Battery backup kit is sold separately (other brands do the same).

Last one (old model) lasted just on a decade before it got a bit unreliable. Will be happy if this one matches it. Install and setup nice and straight forward, it’s quiet and quick. Cant ask for much more!
