Why settle for less, Apple does it best!
After getting a number of no-name brand iPad cables that would occasionally work, going to the source and getting a cable that ALWAYS works direct from Apple has reminded me why they are more expensive.

The Real Thing Makes a Difference
I had ongoing difficulties charging my refurbished iPad with the charger cord provided by the supplier. Getting the Apple genuine product has made all the difference. The iPad now charges with no problems at all.

I dislike the rubbish mimetic products sometimes sold on eBay that pretend to be the genuine Apple version. This product is the real genuine Apple version that will sync data to my different devices using iTunes.

Worth paying extra for Geniune
There are $2-$3 copies of this and the lightening version on eBay but, having tried them numerous times, the only way to go is genuine Apple - costs more but (shock) actually works and continues to work past a couple of weeks. There are times when buying cheap can make sense (for example, buying 2 pairs of $20 joggers instead of one pair of $180 ones - as long as you aren't using them to actually jog in. Sunglasses are another example. BUT in this case it's gotta be genuine or you are literally wasting your money.
