This head unit is the perfect upgrade for my old 2008 VW Tiguan. It was easy to install, just plug and play, and now my Tiguan has Apple carplay. The head unit was easy to set up once installed, and easy to pair to my phone via bluetooth. Fits perfectly too, into the car stereo fascia, which is the bonus of the head unit being VW OEM. I'm very pleased with the RCD330 Plus, and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their old system. % stars outta 5 from me.

Very easy install - reall is just a plug and play into my 2014 VW Passat. Only disapointment is that for some bizzare reason it does not connect with the OEM rear camera and aparently you need to buy and install an aftermarket camera for this function to work. I can't understand in this day and age with electronic wizardry why there isn't a simple adaptor or even why it isn't compatable with the OEM camera?

This unit is a straight swap from the original headunit. I have a premium sound system in my 2011 Golf R so I did sacrifice some sound quality, however, the convenience of Apple Play far outweighs any loss. There are occasional glitches with the unit where it doesn't connect to your phone but this is fixed by unplugging your phone and plugging it back in.

As a head unit it might not be the best. However I replaced the factory speakers and that makes it plenty good for me. The real reason for the purchase was CarPlay and for that it is perfect. Works like s dream.
