Using the existing HDMI cable to carry the IR signal from one room to the other to avoid more of IR extender or repeater or the cabling. The kit consists of two short HDMI adaptor leads that fit on each end of your existing HDMI cable. Each adaptor lead has a 3.5mm jack into which you plug the IR receiver or transmitter. The IR repeater goes to the source side and IRtransmitter goes to the TV or display side. With the HDMI version 2.0, supports 18Gbps, you are not downgrading your existing setup.
